It seems Deepika Padukone is in no hurry to make friends in Bollywood as the actress was recently quoted in her blog for the Times of India saying ‘two heroines can never be friends’. Deepika also stated in her blog that she barely has time for family let alone her friends. “I haven’t spent more than three weeks at home. I have been constantly traveling from Bhopal to London to Hyderabad.”
If Deepika Padukone really wanted to befriend her peers in Bollywood, I think the actress would have done so already as many other friendships have already formed in B-town over the years. However, Deepika defends her statement in her blog by explaining it’s not as if the actresses want to gorge each other’s eyes out, “we are civil to one another’.
Deepika Padukone concludes her blog post like this, “When Kareena is on set with Saif we are very cordial. As for Katrina, yes I bumped into her at Karan Johar’s party and we did say hello and shake hands. Again that doesn’t qualify for a friendship.” The actress is of course speaking about Kareena Kapoor visiting her beau Saif Ali Khan on the sets of Aarkashan. And as for Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone has never had a great relationship with the actress because of the controversy surrounding their supposed ex Ranbir Kapoor.
Do you think Deepika Padukone should be nicer to her peers? Or do you agree with the actress focusing on her career? Let us know!
